Behringer Seizes the Light Behringer has redefined the price/performance equation in every product category they've touched. Now Lighting Control gets the Behringer treatment with the EUROLIGHT LC2412. This 24-channel console features 24 preset channels, assignable to 512 DMX channels and each capable of controlling up to three channels at once. 120 fully programmable scenes are organized into 10 banks. The internal Chaser handles up to 650 steps (up to 99 steps per chase and up to 99 Chases.) Chases and memories can be saved/loaded on super-cheap PCMCIA ATA Flashdisk cards (25 complete loads per card!) You can program fade-in speed, sequence speed and control via internal clock or music-driven Sync to Bass Beat. Frequency-dependent Sound-to-Light ('party light') uses energy in three frequency bands to fade lights assigned to three memories up and down. Crossfade times are continuously variable. Two additional multi-function channels can drive special effects like a fog machine or color changer. FLASH brings a light up to full value with one button, while SOLO turns off everything but the selected fader. The Preview key uses the control LEDs to show which lights will be active in a given memory without affecting the console output. The LC2412 also features dimmer control via DMX or analog output (0/+10V) plus a MIDI interface for cascading two LC2412s. The illuminated display and controls plus a BNC lamp socket keep you on track in dark environments. A rack-mounting kit is included. A steal at four times the price! |
