Emerging from Sao Paulo Brazil, Kiko Loureiro has taken the world by storm. Despite the time he has invested into over ten full-lengths and EPs with progressive metal band Angra, Kiko still manages to pursue his solo and instructional endeavors. Apart from the thick, metal rhythms and bright, ripping leads specific to Angra, Kiko’s most recent solo efforts consist of jazz-fusion work with Brazilian Samba and Cuban Latin influences.
The G1K offers the clean, jazzy bossa sound of “Bossa Nova,” the metal tapping sound from Angra’s “Nova Era,” the bluesy, ballad tone of “Crunch Delay,” along with many other sounds ranging from thick rhythms to violin emulation. The G1K features 40 patches created by Kiko and 40 patches available to be filled by the user.
