The SW500 powered subwoofer makes adding massive bottom end to your sound system an easy operation. Built into the high-grade plywood bass reflex enclosure is a 500-watt power amplifier that drives the long-throw, cast-frame 15" driver. The amplifier utilizes Yamaha's EEEngine technology for greater performance and efficiency with low current draw, low heat and reduced weight.
On its back panel, the SW500 has dual XLR inputs (which accept either mono or stereo sources) and two sets of XLR outputs (one that passes a full range signal and one that incorporates a 100 Hz high pass filter). To further enhance its sonic performance, the SW500 has a phase reverse switch and a control for adjusting low-end roll-off frequency.
A pole mount is provided for adding a full-range cabinet above the SW500.
