Vocal 300: Finally! A Pedal for SingersVocalists have been left out in the cold by most manufactuers; about the best they could do was get an effect unit that lived in the equipment rack, with no way for the performer to get into the act. The VP300 puts 38 fully programmable effects (up to seven at a time) right at the vocalis's feet. Two handy switches take you up and down through patches with ease, and a Bypass switch removes the effect entirely when you want to go clean. Five adjustment knobs let you really get into tweaking (each effect offers four variable parameters,) and the 40 Factory Preset memories are accompanied by 40 additional locations for User creations. The display shows both names and numbers with bright LED's, so you always know which patch you're working with. The effects list includes Microphone Preamp and voice characters, compression, 3-band EQ with mid sweep frequency, Noise Gate, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Vibrato, Strobe, Doubler, Envelope, Pixelator, Detune, Pitch Shifter, Whammy™, Digital Delay, Pin Pong Delay, and eight Reverb Types. Connections include balanced XLR ins and out, a headphone out (1/8",) 1/4" TRS mono/stereo line out and a 1/8" CD/MP3 input jack so you can sing along with your favorite music or band recording. The Vocalist offers excellent sonic performance, with 24-bit A/D and D/A converters and a 44.1kHz sampling rate, comparable to CD quality. |
