Line 6 Stompboxes: A Step Beyond the OthersThe Stomp Series from Line 6 combines a convenient stompbox format with advanced Line 6 modeling for fantastic effects. All share some features: you can assign four presets of your own creation on the stompbox buttons (three presets on the Delay Modeler; the fourth button is for tap tempo.) Sixteen separate effects are provided with 18 factory presets and three User Programmable channels. It's very easy to program; just dial up the sound you want on the handy knobs, and save it. That's it! True Bypass means there's no coloration of your tone when the unit is switched out, and Stereo In/Stereo Out maintains your stereo image if you're running a true stereo signal chain. An expression pedal input allows expressive real time control (pedal optional.) The units are battery operated (batteries ARE included,) with an AC adapter optional. DL4: Echo and Delay FXThe DL4 Delay Modeler is loaded with useful models of both digital and analog delays and echo units, including models of nearly impossible to find units like the Maestro EP-1 Tube and EP-3 Echoplex™; the Roland™ RE-101 Space Echo™; Boss™ DM-2 Analog Delay; Electro-Harmonix™ Deluxe Memoryman™ and many more effects like digital delay, adjustable six- to 24-bit Lo Res delay; stereo delay, ping pong, reverse, dynamic delay, auto-volume echo, and even a 14 second Loop Sampler with half-speed, reverse and overdub recording modes. The modeling is so complete that you can even dial in as much wow and flutter as you like to the tape echos! Rhythmic Delay lets you select any of five musical repeat intervals from a 16th note triplet to a whole note (you tap in quarter note timing via the Tap Tempo stomp switch.) MM4: Mounds of ModulationThe MM4 Modulation Modulator covers all the effects that use modulation, whether it is amplitude, frequency or time-base modulation. In plain English it means you'll find every flavor of Tremolo, Phaser, Panner, Leslie™ simulation, Chorus, Flanger, Ring Modulator and Vibrato. Models are based on classic sources like a Fender™ Deluxe™ optical tremolo, Vox™ AC15™ bias Tremolo, MXR™ Phase 90™, UniVibe™, Leslie™ 145, Boss VB-2 Vibrato, Roland Dimension D™, A/DA™ Flanger, MXR Flanger and even a Song Bird/Dytronics Tri-Stereo Chorus. DM4: Distortion, and More DistortionThe DM4 Distortion Modeler brings together models inspired by legendary distortion and overdrive units. Sources include the MXR Micro Amp™, Chandler™ Tube Driver™, Ibanez™ TS-808 Tube Screamer™, DOD™ Overdrive/Preamp 250, ProCo™ RAT™, Colorsound™ Overdriver, Boss MT-2, Maestro Fuzz Tone, Arbiter™ Fuzz Face™, Vox Tone Bender™, Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi™, and Roland Jet Phaser. You'll also find sub-octave Fuzz inspired by the PAiA Roctave Divider and Octave Fuzz derived from the Tycobrahe™ Octavia™. Line 6 Drive and over-the-top Line 6 Distortion round out the choices. FM4: Filter and Synth EffectsThe FM4 Filter Modulator brings together models are based on favorites like the Mu-Tron™ III, Zvex™ Seek Wah™, Oberheim™ VCF, Voice Box™, Electrix™ Filter Factory™ and even more FX like slow filter, comet trails, spin cycle, growler and Q filter (sounds like a Wah pedal parked in one position.) A couple of guitar synth effects are built in, with Attack Synth suggested by Korg's X911™, and Synth String similar to a tone from Roland's GR700™. A wild collection of tonal modifiers that make your performance pop. |
