The POD reinvented the guitar preamp by combining 32 amp models with Line 6 studio-grade stereo effects, and then putting it all in an easy to use and understand package with the real-time controls (in the form of knobs) that players expect. Now version 2.0 takes this superior approach further. 32 amp models, all customizable are offered, and can be organized into 36 memories, which come loaded with tasteful factory presets that you can either use as is or modify into your own. The choice of models is outstanding; they're based on favorite amps from Fender™, Vox™, Marshall™, Mesa Boogie™, Matchless™, Soldano™, Budda™ and hard to find studio pieces like Dumble™ amps and the Arbiter Fuzz Face™. You'll also find a whole series of Line 6 original creations, plus a Tube Instrument Preamp that works well with non-guitar sources. On the cabinet side you'll find models of 1x8", 1X12", 2x12", 4X10", and 4X12" cabinets based on Fender, Vox, Matchless, Marshall and Line 6 sources. There's also a No Cab setting when you want the POD to act like a pure instrument preamp without coloration. POD Pro: A Well Balanced Interface
POD Pro offers all of the above features, plus 24-bit AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital output; combination XLR/quarter-inch Direct Out, and 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion (the POD 2.0 is 20-bit.) The two-space rack format is ideal when your system consists of separate rackable components.
Floorboard Puts Control at your Feet
Both units interface with the optional Floorboard. This handy unit puts a host of functions at your feet, including a Wah pedal, stomp box-style effects on/off, a Volume Pedal, Tap Tempo function, channel switching and a chromatic Tuner.
