Multigate® Pro XR4400: Frequency Selectivity Makes the DifferenceLots of people make Expander/Gates, but Behringer's XR4400 Multigate Pro puts four state of the art units into a single rack space and adds the feature you most need: frequency selectivity. By using the fully parametric filter that's included with each of these circuits, you can tune the gate's side chain, making more or less sensitive to particular frequency bands. This avoids false triggering from other sources, so if you're gating a kick drum, for example, you can make it more sensitive to low frequencies (so a guitar signal or loud vocal won't open the gate, but a kick beat will.) Any Configuration You WantTake your pick: the Multigate can be four mono gates, two stereo or anything in between. Behringer's FlexLink architecture makes this possible. Three LED's are used for a 'traffic light' display of threshold point, while eight LED's carefully display gain reduction.
