| The history of classic acoustic guitars dates back to 15th century medieval times in Spain and Italy. Classical Guitars are generally nylon stringed. Steel string acoustic guitars began to appear in the 1800s, and are now common in acoustic rock and pop music.
Regular acoustic guitars do not include an electronic pickup on the guitar for direct output to an amplifier or mixer. Many recording artists prefer the sound of a regular acoustic guitar with a dynamic or condenser microphone near the guitar sound hole. Or, alternately, you can get piezo-electric pickups to attach to the guitar.
