| Multi Guitar Effects give you a palatte of sonic options for electric guitar playing. Most multi effects combine amp modeling with effects such as distortion, chorus and delays.
Multi Effect Guitar Pedals are designed to sit on the ground in front of you as you play, and give you a foot pedal interface to dynamically switch guitar sounds as you play. Multi Effects Rack Units and Multi Effects Table Top Units do not include the foot pedal interface, but sometimes include more input/output options or more advanced control capabilities via MIDI or menu editing.
Most Guitar Multi Effects have a single 1/4 inch instrument jack to plug your guitar into, and mono or stereo 1/4 inch outputs to send to your amplifier or mixer. Some Higher End Multi Effects include more exotic effects selections, digital SPDIF or XLR outputs, MIDI In/Out capabilities, and extra expression pedal or control pedal jacks for increased interactivity in controlling effects.
