|  Chorus pedals make the single incoming guitar signal sound like there are actually multiple overlapping singals. It adds a thickness to the sound and produces a slightly detuned mix of the original signal, with chorus. A secondary modulation or filter effect pedal can be used to create sounds that are highly processed and out of this world.
